Transition Phase (Telogen):
In this phase, the old hair strand is released and falls out. The new hair makes its way towards the hair surface and will stay there for 3-5 years. The hair bulb returns to its position and the hair continues to grow.

Each hair is firmly embedded in the scalp where it is supplied with nutrients for essential growth and is surrounded by a mesh of collagen fibres.
