brush-with-fashion-posterDiscover what happens when make-up meets fashion! The limited edition Brush With Fashion collection is a new cruelty-free, fashion-forward make-up and accessories collection. This collection with built-in brushes, Community Fair Trade ingredients and covetable packaging was created in collaboration with the internationally-acclaimed London College of Fashion. Brush With Fashion is the ultimate portable, ultra-stylish make-up must-have in irresistible colour palettes.

The exclusive packaging design was selected following a joint The Body Shop and London College of Fashion student competition. The winning artwork was created by Katarina Voloder, a German 21 year-old BA (Hons) fashion illustration undergraduate. Her amazing design is built around a
make-up sketch of an eye, lips and make-up brush, giving the packaging a strong fashion-forward feel. This is combined with a starburst fan effect with splashes of colour to convey the chic shades of the new collection.

The Body Shop has cleverly integrated its award-winning cruelty-free brush technology into every product. Eyes, lips, cheeks and face will enjoy precise, time-saving, expert application. And because each product comes with its own brush, this perfectly portable collection can be used
anytime, anyplace.

Warm your complexion with Illuminating Face Base and Lightening Touch;
add a glow with Tailored Cheek Tint; brush on gorgeous eye colour with the Limited Collection For Eyes; and complete your look with a slick of Hi-Shine Lip Treatment. The Brush with Fashion Collection also features a handy Mini Brush Kit so your make-up essentials are always close to hand.

“My style has an illustrative quality, blending graphic design with fine art. As always, my main
inspiration for the ‘Brush With Fashion’ design was shape, and for this project I only had one word on my mind: BRUSH. This led me to create a brush-stroke motif, which allowed me to keep a simplicity to the design whilst enabling it to stand-out from the crowd. I am thrilled that my creation was chosen to feature across the ‘Brush With Fashion’ packaging. I have always admired The Body Shop ethical, sustainable and cruelty-free approach to make-up and brushes, so it’s particularly exciting that my work is now a key part of this innovative, new, on-trend collection.” Katarina Voloder.

Just as you’d expect from The Body Shop, every make-up product in the Brush With Fashion collection features high quality naturally-derived ingredients – such as marula oil from Namibia – which are sourced through The Body Shop’s unique Community Fair Trade programme.
This pioneering fair trade initiative, now celebrating its twenty-third year, ensures that suppliers are justly rewarded for their skill and expertise.
Sourced from the Owumbo women of Namibia, marula oil is a very effective moisturiser. Trade with The Body Shop has allowed the 5,000 female entrepreneurs who make the oil to build their own factory, gaining economic independence and a new-found self-esteem.

Pioneers in the worlds of make-up and fashion, The Body Shop and London College of Fashion share similar values and beliefs. Renowned as the original ethical beauty brand, The Body Shop has led the industry with its on-trend, cruelty-free make-up. Belonging to the University of the Arts London, London College of Fashion is the only UK College specialising in fashion education, research and consultancy. Its esteemed alumni includes William Tempest, Jimmy Choo, Patrick Cox, Emma Hope, Linda Bennett (LK Bennett), Jacques Azagury and up-and-coming make-up artist Nikki Palmer, amongst others. The college has put issues of sustainability at the heart of what it does, setting up the Centre for Sustainable Fashion in 2008 to connect industry and education and find
transforming solutions that balance ecology, society and culture.
