Australia’s top runway and editorial hair stylist, Kevin Murphy, will shortly launch PROTECTION.LINE -
a new and innovative six-product hair care line set to revolutionise hair protection by restoring and
protecting hair against extreme heat.

Murphy Extreme Heat Protection Complex™. The scientific formula combines a blend of native
ingredients that have proven benefits in treating burns; Kakadu Plum, Desert Lime and Wattle Seed

Having witnessed firsthand the damaging effect heated styling appliances can have on the hair,
Murphy identified a need for a product that could protect the hair from extreme heat.
“As a stylist, you have to apply a lot of heat to the hair to create the style effectively. This left me
feeling bad that I was unable to perform my duties as a hair stylist without killing off my client’s
hair,” explains Murphy. “I realised that the current heat protection products on the market could
only offer protection against heat damage up to 180°Celcius and there is a need for a product
that performed at temperatures up to 220°Celcius.” From this realisation, the KEVIN.MURPHY
PROTECTION.LINE was born.

Murphy drew inspiration for the line from native Australian desert plants, rich in anti-oxidants,
allowing them to flourish in harsh, dry environmental conditions. One of these plants is the Kakadu
Plum, used in LEAVE-IN.PROTECTION. Containing 60 times more vitamin C that any other plant on
the plant, the Kakadu Plum works to stimulate the production of Elastin and Collagen to help
maintain the hair’s shine and elasticity.
