Hypnotic Poison plays this role of a talisman in this legend: an incandescent fragrance that leaves its bewitching trail in our wake.
A jewel bottle initiates us to the secrets of extreme seduction, and provides a glimpse of its hypnotising radiance. With the sensual imprint of Jasmine Sambac, smooth Heliotrope, Bitter Almond, and intriguing Caraway leading the way, it is the heady Vanilla that pulls us into its dizzying dance. Both sweet and delicious in the garden of our childhood memories, today it becomes dangerously intoxicating.
François Demachy, Dior’s Perfumer-Creator, traveled back to the botanical origin of Vanilla and laid hold an original Orchid to give a floral variation to Hypnotic Poison: Eau Sensuelle.

François Demachy has discovered a softer side of the Hypnotic Poison woman. Without betraying the original fragrance or altering its seductive power, he delved into its very heart to discover its
secret. A researcher of sense and essence, he drew his inspiration from nature.

Vanilla is the fruit of the most sensual of flowers: the Orchid. Colourful or immaculate, striped or veined, it is a symbol of eternal femininity. How was it possible to imagine the luminous scent of Vanilla Orchid?
It is the art of the perfumer to bring to life the fragrance of his fantasy and there can be no floral evocation without the evanescent magic of Damascena Rose.

François Demachy preferred the subtlety of Ylang-Ylang to Jasmine, entrusting the sensuousness of the  fragrance to Orange Blossom Absolute. Tuberose and Vanilla
provide a fruity touch and give the fragrance its sweet and unforgettable trail.
A dash of green, with stems and leaves, stimulates the ensemble. And, finally, Sandalwood and Musk give harmony to this rounded creation, with curves like those of the female body.

Dior Minaudière… A story.
Christian Dior was always passionate about the elegance of the Belle
Epoque, with his mother’s ball gowns forever ingrained in his mind.
The clutch purse captures the entire essence of the style of dress from
this period. Women in the early 20th century, who did not have
pockets or handbags, used little boxes that enclosed several
compartments for powder, blush and lipstick. The boxes also
contained adjustable mirrors and sometimes a coin purse. The shape
and form of these clutches meant that elegant women opened them
in a certain way, giving them the coquettish air of their “minauderies”.
These little bags were the precursors to handbags. Depending on the
fashion of the time, they were in gold, silver, ivory or in beaded or
embroidered fabric.
