DKNY Women is built on three movements or accords, each reflecting an
essential facet of the urban lifestyle that inspired its creation. The scent
radiates with effervescence and freshness. And it complements the
complexities of the women it aspires to represent: The initial impression is
hip, modern and invigorating. It then transforms into an intoxicating, tactile
and textural experience. Finally, the fragrance reveals a sense of pure,
clean comfort that is cool and warm, soft and strong, sensual and
modern.
First, the Energizing Accord. It awakens the senses and gets the body
moving. Like pure liquid energy. The accord blends a vibrant burst of
Blood Orange drenched in Chilled Vodka. The prefect prequel to a night
out in Soho, an art gallery opening in Chelsea, a concert in Central Park.
This energy is driven by the refreshing pulse of vine-ripe Tomato Leaf.
Fresh. Green. Invigorating. Enticing.
Then, the Intoxicating Accord. It emanates from the inside out, exuding
spirit and sensual appeal. Unlike traditional, heavy florals, the body of
DKNY Women is playful and bright, with depth and mystery. The
Intoxicating Accord blends three distinct urban florals. Cool, wet Waterlilies
release the sensual smell of water, like a refreshing spring shower, a
fierce summer rainstorm, or the smell just before it snows. Always stylish and striking, Green Coral Orchids provide texture and evoke unpredictable sensuality. And like a breath of fresh air on a clear spring day, Sunny Daffodils give clarity and crispness to the body of the fragrance.
The final movement, reflected in the sheer yet long-lasting dry down, is the Sensual Accord. A very personal experience, the Sensual Accord reflects a person’s most relaxed state. Calm and Pure. Like a white cotton T-shirt against bare, clean skin. Or the cool warmth of wet cobblestones – shiny, asymmetrical. Each one an individual, inhabiting the downtown streets of the city. Completing the emotion are the soft yet strong woods plucked from the city’s natural resources: White Birch and Tulip Tree Bark.

THE LOOK
The Bottle. Inspired by the image of skyscrapers against an urban horizon, the fragrance is captured in a tall, sculptural, custom glass bottle. They are forceful and imposing, almost breathtaking when grouped together. DKNY Women is contained in a partially frosted, partially clear bottle with a holographic DKNY logo on the cap.
The Package. If a skyscraper could have an outer package, it would look like the one created for the DKNY Fragrances. For the women’s fragrance, a two-part sleeve made of reflective holographic foil and clear acetate was designed to strategically reflect light – like the skyline at various times of the day. Grouped together - in varying sizes - a vertical,
angular, city skyline is formed — a city of DKNY.
