DIFFERENT TYPES OF HAIR LOSS
Many factors can contribute to thinning and increasing hair loss however some hair loss on a day to day basis is quite normal. Between 50 to 100 hairs can be lost regularly each day, however losing more than 100 hairs per day is considered excessive and leads to general thinning of the hair. Hair becomes finer in texture and limp in appearance.
The causes of hair loss vary for men and women but the main factors include tiredness, stress, pollution, hormonal imbalances, seasonal changes, pregnancy, diet, medication and heredity. Any off these factors can disrupt the growth cycle of healthy hair.

THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE HAIR
The hair life cycle involves three stages – Anagen, Catagen and Telogen. Beginning as a hair bulb, the duration of growth for each fibre is approximately 3-5 years.

Growth Phase (Anagen):
The hair bulb and follicle are connected to the dermal papilla, much like an open pore deep in the scalp. During this period the hair fibre grows freely due to the rich nourishment from the scalp.

Rest Phase (Catagen):
During this phase hair growth ceases for 3 to 4 weeks. The hair bulb and follicle separate from the dermal papilla and ascend towards the surface of the scalp.

Transition Phase (Telogen):
In this phase, the old hair strand is released and falls out. The new hair makes its way towards the hair surface and will stay there for 3-5 years. The hair bulb returns to its position and the hair continues to grow.

WHAT HINDERS NEW HAIR GROWTH?
Each hair is firmly embedded in the scalp where it is supplied with nutrients for essential growth and is surrounded by a mesh of collagen fibres. Research by L’Oréal Advanced Research Laboratories has revealed that one of the main factors at the origin of hair loss is collagen stiffening at the root. When this collagen stiffens, the root is “suffocated” and gradually deprived of necessary nutrients. The growth process is then disrupted and the hair fibre becomes increasingly finer, until it stops growing completely. Hair gradually becomes weaker, more sparse and fragile as it thins.

complex of key ingredients to stimulate the scalp and promote healthy hair growth. Infused together, the key active ingredients formulated in the Système Gluco-Impulsion include;
· Vitamin PP to optimise micro-circulation of the scalp
· Cooling Agents to soothe and calm the scalp
· Gluco-Lipid to energise the hair root and help stimulate root activity
· Styling polymers to texturise the hair fibre for added fullness, density and volume.

After application the hair fibre is left nourished at the root with the potential to grow stronger. Existing hair fibres are given additional support with a boost of strength and left with an immediate volume effect.

APPLIQUÈ: Apply a hazelnut-sized amount of Bain Prévention GL to wet hair.
Massage into scalp and hair. Rinse and repeat application. Leave in for 2-3 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly. Use in conjunction with Intervention Antichute à l’Aminexil GL for optimal results.
