This spring M.A.C Cosmetics is launching the new colourful collection MAKEUP ART which features three different lines all inspired by the beautiful bold colours of spring. What makes this new collection most exciting are the pieces of art that have been created by three prominent international artists in collaboration with M.A.C. Inspired from the array of colours and textures of the new collection, the artists developed three very unique works of art that reflect the playful and dramatic palettes of spring.

As part of the launch in Australia, M.A.C Cosmetics is giving away one of these original pieces of art created exclusively for M.A.C by renown photographer Marilyn Minter.
The runner –up will win the complete Marilyn Minter Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection, including four sensational shades of pigments, four glamorous glitters, and a signature, special edition gloss.

Marilyn Minter
Marilyn Minter brings a certain dishevelled glamour to art that is almost too sexy for words. Her extreme close-up photographs of lips, eyelashes, fingernails, freckles, tongues and high heels blur the line between gorgeous and grotesque. Often they become the subjects of her monumental, enamel on aluminium paintings where even a model’s beads of perspiration are indistinguishable from her jewels. That gift for sparkle is one reason Minter was a natural for the high-key glitter pigments in Make-Up Art Cosmetics’ fall collection. She is an artist who shifts easily between art and fashion, billboards and gallery walls, or from the prestigious Whitney Biennial to photo shoots with such outsize personalities as Pamela Anderson. “I never know what I’m going to shoot before I look through the lens,” Minter says. “I’m looking for the accident to happen.”
