“I haven’t been a fan of the mineral makeup market,” Napoleon explains. “A lot of mineral makeup is chalky, dehydrating and ageing. Joining the vibrant collection are new shades Anna and Lianna, as different from each other as their inspirations. The former is named for Anna Vissi, the Athens-based, multi-platinum recording sensation often referred to as the “Greek Madonna.”
“She’s an undeniable beauty, an icon in Europe and we’ve worked together several times,” says Perdis. The latter shade is named for Perdis’s eldest daughter, a gorgeous 10-year-old girl who already has strong opinions on the subject of lip color.
“Lianna has grown up around makeup and she actually has great taste. PRO TIP: Use a lip brush and build your coverage a little at a time. Always be sure to apply your lipstick all the way into the corners of the lips on both the top and the bottom. PRO TIP: It’s a common misconception that you should line the lips before you apply the color–not so! Apply your lipstick and then use a pencil to line around the edges. The liner will glide on more smoothly, leaving a more natural outline but still preventing the lip color from bleeding.
