The sacred Anogeissus tree is found in The Republic of Ghana. Local African tribes harvest the rare extract of Anogeissus, known as “Siiga” (which means “the soul”), derived from the leaves and bark of the Anogeissus tree to use as a natural wound healer and antimicrobial. When Origins harvests Anogeissus, it is done to ensure sustainability and not damage the tree; it is taken from pruned branches or directly from the tree without stripping it.
In tandem with Anogeissus, Siegesbeckia and Rosemary Extract help protect natural collagen and elastin, which are needed for healthy, young looking skin. Collagen is the principle structural protein holding skin together that gives it strength. Siegesbeckia, a small shrub native to eastern Asia, which grows especially well in hot climates, helps maintain collagen. Siegesbeckia usually consists of a large, greenish stem, from which oval or triangular shaped leaves grow. The top of the plant contains small, yellow flowers covered with sticky hairs. In traditional Chinese medicine, Siegesbeckia is used to treat various ailments.

Elastin, which peaks during adolescence and declines thereafter, is the protein found in elastic connective tissue that allows skin to resume original shape after being stretched. Extract of Rosemary, a well-known culinary herb with a history of medicinal uses, helps maintain elastin.
Rosemary is a medium-sized evergreen shrub that grows up to seven feet. Native to Portugal, the plant takes its name from the Latin “ros marinus,” which means “sea dew.” Rosemary shrubs consist of stiff branches with long, needle-like leaves, on which pale blue flowers grow. The leaves and parts of the flowers contain a volatile oil and are used medicinally.
Siegesbeckia, Rosemary Extract and Anogeissus Tree Bark in combination help visibly decrease the depth and length of lines and wrinkles while strengthening skin, helping it to become firmer.
